Work

The offer is Oracle Fusion Cloud Payables and Oracle Fusion Cloud Expenses.

Fusion Cloud Payables

  • Configuration across a multi-business-unit chart — invoice options, payment process profiles, withholding and 1099, approvals.
  • Production support after go-live: holds, matching exceptions, payment failures, month-end and year-end close.
  • 1099 beyond the seeded process, including BI Publisher with bursting when finance has to split files across entities.
  • Inbound invoices from legacy systems. Outbound payment files to banks.
  • Custom intake when seeded invoice entry is not how AP actually works — including an electronic check-request style bolt-on.

Fusion Cloud Expenses

  • Expense policies, audit rules, and multi-level approval workflows across a multi-business-unit rollout.
  • Corporate card feeds (Visa and the rest of the card-network problem).
  • Hypercare and first-year stabilization so T&E does not quietly move back to spreadsheets.
  • Refresher training and knowledge transfer to super-users who inherit the module.

Conversion and integrations

  • Supplier conversion off a legacy payables system — design, mapping, build, load, recon.
  • Bidirectional integrations: inbound invoices, card feeds, outbound payments, and files that have to land in an adjacent clinical or operational system.
  • FBDI and spreadsheet loaders when the conversion wave is a file, not a conversation.
  • The tickets that show up at 4 p.m. on close week.

Scale this has already run at

Healthcare system rollout: Oracle Cloud Payables across 35 business units and Expenses across 32, including Lawson-to-Oracle supplier conversion, Visa corporate card feed, outbound payments to banking and to EPIC, custom 1099 bursting, electronic check request, group training, and a full year of hypercare through month-end and year-end.

That is the pattern. Smaller shops with the same two modules are the same work at a different volume.

How an engagement starts

A scoped Payables or Expenses problem. A conversion file, an integration, a close that will not close, or a first year after someone else’s go-live. Reach Jeff on LinkedIn. Southern Consulting is a practice, not a bench of fifty.
