PeopleSoft @ Oracle OpenWorld

It is September and Oracle OpenWorld is just a few weeks away.  With nearly 100 PeopleSoft related session and 10 PeopleSoft demo pods there is a lot happening with PeopleSoft at this year's event.  The event is Oracle's opportunity to showcase its ongoing commitment to PeopleSoft, for the PeopleSoft team to talk about new investments in PeopleSoft, and for customers to share their success stories.

Building on last year’s announcement of deploying PeopleSoft on Oracle Cloud, the PeopleSoft team will introduce attendees to PeopleSoft Cloud Manger.  This new tool will enable self-service provisioning of PeopleSoft environments for development, testing, staging, and production.  When coupled with Oracle Cloud it also can provide full automated lifecycle management of your PeopleSoft instances (including your configuration, data, and customizations) in a secure, scalable cloud environment.  This results in more agile and flexible business and development operations at a lower cost.

The team will be discussing the planned use of the open source Elasticsearch as a new global search engine in PeopleSoft.  Elasticsearch seamlessly plugs into the PeopleTools Search Framework and is planned to be available within PeopleTools 8.55 and higher.  Elasticsearch should benefit customer by being easier to deploy and more scalable while more efficiently delivering better results.  New investments in analytics, user experience, and feature/functions delivered via PeopleSoft Update Images will also be central topics at the event.

Not only will the PeopleSoft team provide updates on the latest and greatest within PeopleSoft and PeopleSoft best practices, but this year's event will also have a big focus on customers - how they are executing on and succeeding in critical components of PeopleSoft's investment strategy.  Starting with the adoption of PeopleSoft Fluid UI, 100’s of customer are deploying Fluid UI, attendees will be able to hear about what they did and how they did it directly from customers.  Be sure to review the "PeopleSoft Fluid UI @ Oracle OpenWorld" Focus on Document listing all relevant sessions at the event.  PeopleSoft Selective Adoption is the new mind set for consuming not only maintenance but also new features delivered by Oracle, at the event customers will share their Selective Adoption strategy, how they formulated it and how they are executing on it.  The "PeopleSoft Selective Adoption @ Oracle OpenWorld" Focus on Document can serve as your comprehensive guide for event content on this topic.
