Self-Registration for External Learners in PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management

As a Learning Administrator, you are responsible for creating External Learners’ profiles in PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management (ELM), which can be time-consuming considering the growing number of external learners organizations are facing these days.  With ELM Update Image 16, PeopleSoft  has delivered functionality to allow external learners to perform registration in the ELM application on their own  without any manual intervention by the Learner Administrator. This capability  significantly reduces the dependency on administrators to onboard new external learners

As  you deploy this capability for  your external learner population, you will be able to define -- through configuration -- a number of data input fields that are available in the new user registration form.  You may mark fields as “required” for those that capture critical information about the external learner in your system.   You will also be able to  select the Learning Environment that is associated with the learners registering into the system on their own.

Learners may use their mobile devices to fill and submit the registration form to start using the learning system that is already mobile-ready.  This feature is aimed at streamlining the external learner creation process for your organization and save time for your learning administrator.  Consider deploying the  “External Learner Self-Registration” feature if you deal with learners outside of your organization and have a need to extend self-service even to those who do not have access to the system yet.
